Why You Should Switch to Used Golf Balls   by Chris Robertson

In a green conscious society, the word “recycle” literally covers everything from clothing to used golf balls. Used or recycled products are the wave of the future and planet conscious folks are always looking for ways to help reduce the amount of garbage sent to landfills. Concerned that their greenways may eventually go to landfills, some very smart golfers devised a way to recycle golf balls and a business was born! Used golf balls are available online, and at half the price it’s a super deal for the golfer who would rather spend his golf dollars on new clubs.

An avid golfer myself, I am always looking for ways to stretch my golf budget. By purchasing used golf balls rather than new balls, I am able to get twice the number of golf balls. Top brands such as Titleist, Callaway, Bridgestone, Nike, and Topflight are available on the used Golf Ball website and the more you buy, the bigger the discount. The site even offers a cost comparison between new golf balls and recycled balls. A rating system for the used golf balls is listed to help the customer understand exactly what they are ordering. For instance, the rating AAAAA indicates the balls are one hit wonders; as close to new as you can get without paying the price. A dozen new Titleist Pro VI balls cost $44.99, but used would only cost $24.99. The savings is almost enough to play a twilight round!

During the summer months, my golf club offers camps for young golfers. The number of golf balls used during these camp sessions is staggering, and the cost for new balls would be prohibitive. We have literally ordered a truckload of used golf balls and our young campers routinely hit every last ball in the order! With the money we saved by buying used, we were able to keep the overall cost of the camps reasonable. Our young Tigers could hit balls to their hearts content – even if they landed in the lake! Used golf balls are truly a great idea.

The grades given to each used golf ball, A to C and mint to near mint, lets consumers know the physical and even cosmetic condition of the recycled balls. Without removing the name, each used ball is wet blasted for optimal cleaning. Balls are then coated with Binks style paint lines and a fresh clear coat is applied. The main objective, of course, is to provide a more durable product for the consumer. Though the process of recycling balls does not allow for repairs to scrapes, dents, or cart paths, each ball is thoroughly examined and given a rating commensurate with the condition of the ball. With warehouse to customer shipping, your used golf balls are received within days of placing your order.

Purchase your used golf balls today and spend a few of those dollars you saved to buy your golf buddies a round of drinks at the 19th hole. They’ll be sure to ask you and your used golf balls back to the course time and time again!
